these are the first two tracks off of "THE CRYSTAL WORLD"
Locrian released "Drenched Lands" as an experimental/noise,drone band and immediately caught my attention. After seeing/meeting up with them last year in Baltimore I was even more into them. The live set was incredible. The mood set in drenched lands is a dark depressing dead world. Check out their Myspace and listen to ghost repeater. After Drenched lands was "Territories" which was just as dark, but some changes in the band helped to give a fuller sound. After listening to their new release "The Crystal World" off of utech records i continue to be impressed by this band. It never gets old, they never do the same thing twice, and it is always darker and heavier than the release before. With the addition of a third member, more instruments, and more vocals the noise/drone band comes at you with a different sound with the same devastating feedback. Also i will be getting/posting Andre Foisy's (of Locrian) solo project once i get it.
